I am looking for..
Since its last OFSTED inspection in 2009 which judged the college to be ‘Satisfactory’ in all respects, Sedgefield Community College has become one of the most improved and highest performing schools in County Durham. The move to a striking, new, high quality school building in January 2011 coincided with dramatic improvements across all aspects of the work of the college that have taken place since its last inspection, and mark it out as a school which is no longer merely ‘satisfactory’.
Since 2009:
· Students have repeatedly made huge improvements in performance across almost all subject areas.
· Student behaviour and attitude to learning has been transformed. This being recognised by a recent County Durham/ National Strategy inspection which considered that student behaviour is now consistently ‘Good’.
· A significant shift in the quality and consistency of learning and teaching, with transformation in this respect leading the college to take on an advisory role in other schools.
