Students Take Pride.
Students from Sedgefield Community College showed off their community and country pride by supporting both Sedgefield in Bloom and The Big Tidy Up by undertaking a litterpick in their local village.
Year 8 students set off from Sedgefield Community College at 11:00am on 23rd April into the centre of the village to pick litter on and around the village green.
The village, Sedgefield Community College, Sedgefield in Bloom, residents and retailers all benefited from the area being cleaned.

The Northern Echo has been running the ‘Swift and Bold’ campaign selling green bands in support of injured 3 Rifles soldiers in Afghanistan.
Sedgefield Community College obtained 200 of these bands and sold them within 3 days, raising over £400
During the week May 10th – 14th Major Chris Lawton from 3 Rifles came into school assemblies and talked to the students about 3 Rifles’ recent tour of Afghanistan and received a cheque for £420.29 from the Mr Davison towards the appeal
