Head Boy and Head Girl
Seven students were recently nominated for the role of Head
Boy and Head Girl at Sedgefield Community College. Following a formal interview,
which mimicked the intensity of a professional job interview, the panel which
was made up of Headteacher, Dave Davies, Deputy Headteacher, Sandy Baird and
the Chair of Governors, John Bowler, chose Sebastian Reichel as Head Boy and
Lily Grundy as Head Girl. Both students demonstrated that they have the
qualities that are required to represent the values and ethos of the college.

Parents of Year 6 students.
Parents of year six students are coming to
the time of year when they must inform their Local Authority of
their preferred Secondary School for their child.
This year we have received an unprecedented
number of queries from parents of students who attend schools
from whom in the past we have not taken students.
I would like to remind parents that we do
welcome students from outside our local area and in many
instances the college itself provides free transport.
Should parents wish to either find out what
Sedgefield Community College can offer their child or visit us
then they are asked to contact Mrs. P Walmsley on 01740 625300
or e-mail us on
