At Sedgefield Community College we warmly welcome all visitors to our school. We would like to think that everyone that visits us recognises that in the interests of safeguarding our students, there is the need to have clear and precise procedures that visitors must follow. We would be grateful if anyone who is planning a visit to our school would read the contents of the downloadable documents below that outline, in simple terms, our expectations in relation to visitors. It should be noted that there are specific instructions for visitors to the college who will actively interact with students during their visit.

Expectations of short term employees or volunteers at our school
Like all schools there are occasions when we need to employee the services of staff to cover the absence of a permanent member of the school staff. The most typical example being a supply teacher who, through an agency, may operate at our school for a short period such as a day or a longer period stretching over weeks or months.
It is often unrealistic to expect short term staff of this nature to fully absorb all policies of the school in a short time, however it is expected that, as a minimum expectation, they follow the school expectations outlined in the document below.
